starvynth Baltum are well aware that there is only one really effective way to stand out from the sheer mass of nowadays releases: good songwriting. And you can hear that very clearly on this EP, because each of the three songs, and especially the catchy closer “Darkest Corners”, have enough potential to become a strong single from a full-length album that will hopefully be released soonish.

Short review: metalstorm.net/pub/article.php?article_id=2475 Favorite track: Darkest Corners.

Riding their horses, Through the mountains of Byske Through the haunted trees Their lives about to cease Deadly winter night Snow storm embrace Slows down their pace There is nowhere to hide Mind prepares to die (die) Deadly winter night Not expecting what death would bring Their bodies slowly freeze Movement impairment, they can't feel a thing Dead by the north wind breeze Dead by the north wind breeze North army March through the hills North army Silently kills Not expecting what death would bring Their bodies slowly freeze Movement impairment, they can't feel a thing Dead by the north wind breeze Dead by the north wind breeze

Brought into this world selfishly Had no affection, no boundaries No one to guide within wrong or right No one willing to tuck him in bed at night Evil eyes, no disguise Satan sent him to take some lives He kills, he rapes Terrorism of all kinds and shapes He attacks regardless of age or race Gets satisfaction looking at the fear in their face This creature, lonely and cruel Finds in death his joy, his fuel After a blood bath and killing them all He leaves his mark, the pentagram on the wall Evil eyes, no disguise Satan sent him to take some lives He kills, he rapes Terrorism of all kinds and shapes He became, the flame Spreading fire in this horrific game Got the fame, no shame Night Stalker was his name Condemned to die, gas chamber would take his soul But Satan replied I'm the one who decides how to bring him home I'm the one who decides how to bring him home

What will be of my mind? With all these voices inside Raging with no restrains Damnation, eternal pain What will be of my mind? With all these voices inside Raging Raging I wander in darkest corners Revolving the shreds Looking for solace These voices inside my head Screaming, clawing I´m losing myself Losing myself Tearing at my brain, again Again A poisonous call (feed) to feed from the dead The dead Losing myself I´m losing myself Tearing at my brain again Again A poisonous call (feed) to feed from the dead Dead, dead All is blood craved instinct The will to feed the need I´ll tear at everyone you love And cherish every chunk of flesh I´ll feed from every need Consume your milky white skin Bathe in your blood Bathe in your blood I pray you’re still alive to see Your blood in me In me In me Voracious instinct To consume your body Insane demands The growing hunger My Lord commands me I am his puppet His strings the hunger Frailness the motive Oh what have I done? Crumbling like you’re already gone Waking up, is this a dream? Your body is rent You’re gone in a scream Bring it forth, a sea of blood In dark delusions this world unfurls

about

Baltum Portugal

"Baltum" named by the Romans, was a small fishing community in the Algarve, Portugal.

In 2020 a new Baltum arises. Inspired by Black Metal, Death Metal and Folk Metal, Baltum debuts an aura of mighty growls, fast and fearless guitar harmonies, epic keyboards and ripping drums.

Our songs imbue a melancholic atmosphere, rapidly shifting between fast and slower paces.

We are Baltum.
